What people say about us...

Since Cathy began working with us, she's transformed our PE provision.  She's worked with our PE lead to compile a long term plan for PE ensuring that we play to teacher's strengths to ensure children get the best deal possible.  She enthuses even the most reluctant pupils and works with whole classes or small teams in the lead up to a tournament.  Cathy is an integral part of our team; flexible with any changes that need to happen in the school day but ultimately professional and so competent. I would recommend her without hesitation!"

Emma Jeffries

Head Teacher - Stockbridge Primary School

Cathy has been supporting PE at Norman Gate School over many years but during the past 3 years has been a key part of our PE teaching funded by Government money to develop sport in schools.

Her deep knowledge of PE and Special Educational Needs (SEN) is a rich resource for us and the children have benefited enormously. The children really look forward to the sessions with Cathy who leads the sessions alongside Norman Gate Staff. The sessions are planned in conjunction with our curriculum and over the year all of the children work with Cathy.

The children make good progress in PE under her expert guidance and the staff develop their own knowledge, understanding and skills through this approach.

The impact of Lions in the Community can be measured in the progress that the children make, the skills that the staff develop to teach PE and the growing confidence in everyone in what can be a difficult subject to teach in our setting. It is great to see children who were reluctant to engage in PE now taking part, fully engaged, learning and of course having fun.

Children and Staff always look forward to PE with Cathy."

Head Teacher - Norman Gate School

Cathy has been coming to us for many years now. She uses innovative games and activities to teach the children agility, balance and co-ordination. Her Summer Olympics were especially memorable. Through these activities Cathy also builds the children's confidence in their ability. Cathy is constantly thinking of new ways to deliver her sessions and has a very good understanding of the children's development. She plans her sessions to meet their needs. Her excellent sessions are a great success and loved by the children. This is evident on the squeals of delight when the children are told "Cathy is here!".
